The book is a tribute to the 125-year history of Swedish Handicrafts. The first three chapters delve into the history of Swedish Handicrafts and Lilli Zickerman. The author Susanne Helgesson takes us into the story of how Lilli, as a single woman, managed to start and run the association for Swedish Handicrafts and the shop Svensk Hemslöjd. Then there are 13 chapters with over 20 needlework patterns, all inspired by sketches by our former designers that are in the Swedish Handicrafts archives at the National Archives. All patterns and descriptions are created by Jenny Berge and friends.
